Crab meat recipe - #TastyTuesday

I have admit I do not cook very often. But I like trying new recipes now and then and I am usually very good at it. Modesty!
So we decided to buy some crab meat the other day at the market. I did my research online on some of my favorite cooking websites and I came across this one. I have to say it turned out really good even with my twist. It is a dish you could use to surprise your guests or treat yourself whenever you feel like. Try it yourself and let me know! Let's get to cooking...

You will need:
  • 4 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/2 an onion
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups crab meat
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tbsp salt

1. Melt the butter in the skillet and add the onions. Cook until gold.

2. Add the flour and the milk stirring gently until the big clumps are completely gone.  Season with salt and any other herbs if you prefer. Let it cook for 10 mins in medium temperature.

3. Pour the whole mixture into the baking dish.

4. Sprinkle the breadcrumbs and Parmesan.

5. Put it in the oven and let it bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit until the breadcrumbs and the Parmesan are gold and brown.

6. Pair it with some rice and you have a delicious meal.

Enjoy your #TastyTuesday

Product Review: Elizabeth Arden Hydrating Mask

I have heard so many good things about Elizabeth Arden's products that I finally decided to try one of them on my own. So, I purchased the Elizabeth Arden Hydrating Mask at Marshalls a couple of weeks ago. Let me start by saying two words: "amazing results".

The mask comes in a tube just like a toothpaste. It has a very thick-creamy consistency and applies very easily on my skin. I use it once or twice a week to give my skin some glow. I keep it on for about 15 mins and wash it off with a warm wet cloth. It does not dry on the face nor does it irritate it.

The moment I remove the mask I have this cooling and clean sensation which makes my skin breathe again. The pores are visibly minimized, softness is back and my face is glowing!
I am loving this mask and I will absolutely recommend it to anybody who has dry to normal skin for the perfect moisture. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

See you soon,

Daytona Beach! - #SundayFunday

A beautiful Sunday should be enjoyed in maximum, especially if you are having a long week ahead of you. Well, let me be honest here: I had a wonderful Saturday night out with my girls and I definitely needed a long walk at the beach but somewhere far from home. And you know how much me and hubby love to hit the road. So we woke up Sunday morning, grateful to finally see some clear sky after that endless rainy week, and decided to go on a little trip.

Daytona Beach is about an hour and 20 mins from Jacksonville.  It is one of the most famous beaches in the U.S.A because of its hard-packed sand, which makes it easily accessible by car. There is a lot of space, the water is slightly lighter and blue-r than the one in Jacksonville and they also have umbrellas and beach chairs for rent. For my European readers this might sound crazy but let me tell you, almost all the beaches in the U.S do not have this service. It is a shame!

We parked near the Ocean Walk. The center is full of local stores and restaurants and a movie theater. Really nice place. The Starbucks in there had a world map where everybody could put a pin on the country they came from. Some of the pins surprised me...

We headed to the ocean to play with the water a little bit and refresh - if that was possible...

It was about 2 p.m. and we were feeling hungry so we decided to go on restaurant-hunting. We walked for about thirty minutes until this little building caught our eyes...

I have to admit, the first thing that sold the restaurant to me was the idea of having a meal by the ocean. And the view was very beautiful...The food? Not so good, neither was the service...A huge disappointment :(

We took it slowly on our way back to the car and hubby offered to take some pictures (this does not happen very often)...

And my favorite picture...

I had a wonderful day and happy memories were created. I wish you a "Goodnight and Sweet Dreams!"
Have a nice weekend!
See you soon,

Wednesday's Word from Heart!

Hello my lovely readers,
I hope you are doing well today and in case you just ask, I am doing well too. I just came home from work, cooked some dinner for me and hubby and now I am sitting on my couch typing what you are reading. Getting very real here...
Yesterday I had the day off from work and I decided to go shopping early in the morning (at around 10am). I left the house all dressed up and ready to hit the mall but as soon as I got in the car I felt the need of relaxing and thinking. And what better place for this rather than the ocean and the sand-y beach...
So I headed to the beach with my cup of iced coffee from Starbucks, my camera ( which is always inside my bag) and a towel, which surprisingly enough was in my car...Yes I keep a towel in my car, don't judge me but I love going to the beach and I want to be prepared anytime. It is weird but nope...I do not care.

The first thing I did when I arrived was, running towards the water and splashing my feet. It felt so refreshing, like all my problems were swept away. And then there was the sand. I felt the hot grains of sand cuddling my toes and the heat covered my whole body. Boy oh boy was I in heaven...
I stayed there for about an hour, collecting some seashells, taking some pictures, scrolling down my phone, clearing some thoughts about specific people surrounding me... But it wasn't until I left that I realized how happy I was with my decision.
I am so glad I went there yesterday. Sometimes you need a place to think over and over again without being interrupted by anyone, you need some time and space for yourself. And I just discovered my favorite place on earth to spend my alone-time. I suggest you do too. Go out there and discover a place that makes you happy only by being there on your own. A place where you can think whatever your heart desires, fantasize, create...

I wish you the best,
xoxo Marjana
