Being professional! - School project...

This Wednesday I had an interesting project on my EKG class. We were asked to compare different food products and find which one was the best for our heart's health. Mine was about comparing butter and margarine and after some discussions and credible sources most of us agreed that butter is better than margarine.

After that, we had to do some EKGs which I really enjoy doing. We also had a small food party with healthy and not-very-healthy foods. Long story short: I enjoyed the day very much and here are the pictures ... :)

Soft hand...

Hello!

Let's take your blood pressure :)

My specialty: Tiramisu

I learned how to make Tiramisu probably 6-7 year ago when I visited a friend of mine in Greece; and I haven't stop making it since then. I have experimented a lot of times, adding or changing ingredients but the classic one is my favorite.
That is what I have for you today. It is very simple, you only need a few steps, you will be done in less than 20 minutes, and it tastes super delicious. I give you permission to ask any of my friends or family if you do not believe :)
Enough said...Let's get started!

You will need:

2 packs of Philadelphia
1 pack of Whip Cream
3-4 packs of Ladyfingers cookies (depends on the size of your container)
1 egg
1/2 cup of sugar
cocoa and coffee ( i don't measure them exactly, I just see-measure them )

Step 1: Mix the egg, sugar, Philadelphia and whipped cream together until they become a creamy mass.

Step 2: Mix some water with your coffee and dip the ladyfingers in it. Be careful not to wet them too much.

Step 3: Arrange your ladyfingers in your container (I am using a glassy pan) and the cover them with the first layer of the cream.

Step 4: Repeat the same process again.

Step 5: Sprinkle the cocoa. I don't recommend a lot of cocoa because sometimes it tends to harm your throat and it does not taste good. Let it stay in the fridge for about 30 mins.

Step 6: Enjoy it!

Have a nice weekend!
Love, Marjana

My weekend: Feb 14-16

Hi my lovely readers!

This weekend was super funny and romantic too and I wanted to share it with you. My husband and I went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner to celebrate Valentine's day and oh my God: the food was beyond delicious!

Later on he gave me a v-day's gift. Can you guess?
He bought me a Magic Wand and the In-Vogue flat iron from NuMe. I have been wanting these for ages and he bought them for me on Valentine's Day. I am so excited to use them. He also bought me this set from Neutrogena. If you guys read my post about December Faves you know how much I love these products. So yeap...very happy!
And if you wonder what I bought him, well...I paid for dinner :P

Saturday is my favorite day. I woke up early actually and left home around 10 am. We went to visit some cousins and then we went shopping at the mall. I bought a pink flower statement necklace, a cute headband for my hair and a very sporty gray skater skirt. He bought some really nice clothes. There were some really good sales. In the evening we went to the movies and watched "about last night". I definitely recommend this movie. After that some coffee...yeap coffee at 9pm which made me wide awake until 1am.

The skirt is from Macy's...sorry I could not find the link!

Valentine's Day Hair and Makeup tutorial - YouTube video!

Hello loves!
This Sunday I was invited at a birthday dinner-party and I thought I would film my self doing my makeup and hair. I finally edited the video and uploaded it on my YouTube channel. You are free to go and watch it but before you do, I just wanted to say two things:
1. It is my first hair and makeup video and I don't except you to like it. I still don't have a "style" on filming and creating tutorials in front of a camera.
2. I am not a makeup expert. I am just a 20-year-old who likes makeup and experiments with different looks.

All the products mentioned in this video can be found at your local drugstore, Wallgreens, Ulta ect. I used drugstore products so everyone can find it easy to work with their own products and favorite brands.

Valentine's Day gift guide for girls and guys!

When it comes to V-day gifts I think about lovely, sweet and thoughtful gifts in way to make your significant other feel special. But sometimes we, girls, love when guys pay attention to what we have our eyes on, and they surprise us with that kind of gift.

I have to admit that finding a gift for girls is so much easier than choosing the right gift for guys. There are so many things you can choose from. But for guys...it is a pain in the (you know what). Today I am going to show you some of my gift ideas which I think that will be perfect for this occasion.

1. Organize the "perfect" date night.

Guys: Start with showing up in front of her door with a nice bouquet of red roses- it doesn't even have to a huge bouquet, only one would work perfectly. Next, choose a good movie and take her to the cinema, have fun there and end the night with some delicious snack or if you are feeling generous take your girlfriend to a nice restaurant.
Girls: If you feel confident about you cooking, they invite your guy over your house and create a romantic atmosphere - or just any atmosphere you two feel comfortable in.

2. Make-up and self-care products

Guys: You can never go wrong with makeup products when it comes to a girl. There is so much options to choose from, you can either buy her a very nice eye shadow palette from her favorite brand, or you can create a small basket full of drugstore makeup products that you think will look good on her. She will really appreciate the time you spent choosing them. Good stores to shop at are Sephora, Bath and Body works, Ulta ect.
Girls: The only things you can buy for a guy are either a set of shampoo and lotion, or a set of shaving and after shaving products.

3. Clothes

A wide range to choose from, but I would recommend a nice dress for girls and a comfy sweater of jumper for guys, and if you are looking for something cute create a pair matching couple's PJ or T-shirts - they are so funny to wear when you are out on public :)

4. Accessories

Guys: More and more choices... Buy her a nice statement necklace, they are so in now, or a very eye-catchy watch. Do you want more? Scarves, wallets, bags, bracelets, a ring maybe???
You don't know her style because you haven't been together for so long but still want to buy something pricey? Why not buy her a set of hair tools...NuMe has good deals now ;)
Girls: I don't know how much accessories a guy would wear. The only ones my man would wear are either bracelets or a big metallic black ring, and a beanie because it is so cold where I live :P If your boyfriend has a job where he has to wear a suite, then buy him a nice tie, or an office bag.

5. Plan a trip

You can gift this to each other if it is too expensive for one of you. It can be either a one-night trip or a weekend one. Just take your girlfriend and getaway from the world, arrange a couple's package with dinner, spa and sauna. Relaxation and Love - what a perfect combo.

6. Random things

Pretty much anything that comes across your mind: books, good headphones, photo albums, DIY gifts, decorative things for the bedroom ect...

7. LOVE

All in all there are so many things you can gift to someone for Valentine's Day. Just pay a little bit of attention to what your partner has been wanting for a while and surprise him on THAT day.Valentine's day is all about love and expressing you feelings - it doesn't have to be always a gift in the middle. So, my friends, don't stress and enjoy your date.

I hope my ideas help you somehow and feel free to send my pictures of what you are giving as presents.
Love ya, Marjana

How I prepare for a Valentine’s Date!

It is always important to be take care of your skin, spoil it at least once a week and especially when you are about to go on a date. You want look fresh, bright and beautiful even after a long day at work. Today I am going to be showing you how I pamper myself before going out on a date. It does not take too long, it is easy and really refreshing.

Face care

First I start by washing my face with my Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash and after that I prepare a quick and easy face mask using cocoa, egg and honey. This really nourishes your face and makes it so smooth and bright.
To prepare this mask all you have to do is mix about a tablespoon of cocoa with one egg and one teaspoon of honey. It smells wonderful but I wouldn’t eat it. Then take some of the mixture in your fingers and start applying it on your face. Let it set for about 15-20 min and meanwhile take some selfies of yourself and send them to me if you don’t mind (I would love to see them)

Crazyyyy

Body and Hair

After washing your face, you are ready for a nice and warm shower - if you have extra time you can have a relaxing bubble bath. I use my  Victoria Secrets' 2-in-1 body wash and scrub with frozen apples and sparkling cassis.to scrub the dead skin and leaving my body refreshed and soft.

Last but not least, I wash my hair with my favorite ArganiCare shampoo and conditioner, to prepare it for the hairstyle.

While wondering around the house and waiting for hair to dry I apply my favorite body lotion form Bath and Body Works. This stuff smells AMAZING.

And then, it's time to do my make-up, style my hair and choose my outfit...

DIY: Valentine's Day Gift Idea- Talking Mug

Hi guys! Today I come to you with another gift idea for V-day. It is as very inexpensive, easy and thoughtful as the last one. All you need is a plain mug, some sharpies and lots of candy, because who doesn't want candy on Valentine's Day?

Start by deciding what you want to write or draw on your mug. It does not have to be fancy, something really cute or just your favorite quote. I decided to write some reasons why I love my boy and then I drew this couple. As you see, you don't have to make the best painting ever, simple is good too :) After you have done drawing your art you have two options: 1) If you want your painting to be temporary, leave the mug as is but 2) if you want your painting to be permanent place the mug in the oven for 30 min in 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then open the oven's door and leave the mug to cool off inside the oven.
Last step: Fill it with lots of candy and chocolate :) I chose this mix bag from Walmart's and ...can we just talk about how cute the quotes are??? What?

Have a sweet Valentine's Day!
