Kayak for the first time!

Memorial weekend was the beginning of summer, for sure. The weather, of course, was amazing; 90 degrees, summer breezes now and then, and the sun was in its best shape - shining stronger than ever.
Unfortunately for us, all the camp grounds we had planned and not planned to go were already booked. I was not surprised, just a little bit disappointed I didn't think of that earlier. But it turned out to be fine. Our second anniversary as a married couple was someday this weekend :) and we thought to buy ourselves something new; something we would use for the first time and have fun.
Yes, we bought ourselves a kayak. The 1 for 2. For salt and fresh water. And we went to put it on try. How did it go? I think very well. A little bit hard at the beginning until we started coordinating our arms. You know? Kayak is a very good and intensive sport. But I am not going to talk about it.
It was so beautiful to be on that "boat", feel the warmth of the sun on your skin and enjoy the great architecture combined with the green of nature. Those houses were amazing. I hope their owners feel this way too and take care of them for the longest time. A house like that holds so many memories and regardless to them being good or bad, they still are the memories of "that summer". Strong and forever stacked in your heart.
I am getting too emotional at this point, and I shouldn't, so I better go and leave you enjoy the pictures...Maybe you will go inside your heart or mind and dig for those special memories.

xoxo, Marjana

Camping weekend!

Hello my friends! Today I have another "travelling" post to share with you. The weather this past weekend was very nice and we decided to go camping. We booked our site on Monday for one night at the White Pine State Park in Illinois. I was so excited we were finally going somewhere different for the weekend and do some outdoor activities.

We were shopping all week for all the things we needed. It was so easy for us because we had gone camping so many times back in Albania, and we knew very well what we had to get and what not. Saturday came really fast and we left for our destination at around 1 p.m. We arrived there at 2:30 p.m. and started to set up our tent and collect some wood for the fire. After that we went for a walk around the area, along the river and "downtown" the camping center where I bought some accessories; the ones that we will remind us we were there and the ones I liked :P

Lucky enough, I remembered to take the laptop and the nook with us so we could have some music - and our favorite music is the greek one (you will hear me singing terribly bad on the video). The night was a little bit cold, but I had some "heavy duty" blankets. I had a really nice sleep and the next morning was so beautiful. I loved waking up in the middle of those huge trees, listening the birds and the water. Fresh air is the best, and we will keep camping as much as we can the whole summer. Now I am going to let you enjoy the pictures and don't forget to watch my video on YouTube. Click here!

Thanks for reading me,
xoxo Marjana

Ipsy Glam Bag - May 2014

Hey guys! I recently received my Ipsy Glam Bag and I wanted to share the products with you! For those of you who do not know what Ipsy is...let me explain :) Ipsy is a monthly subscription that costs $10. Every month you get a bag of 5 beauty, skincare, hair care ect. products. The bag's value is around $40 (maybe a little bit less or more). I think it is totally worth the money. I have purchased this bag for 2 months and I have been loving all the products. Definitely would suggest it :)

(Click Here if you are lazy to read and want to listen to me talking :P )

1. The first product I got is the Avene Thermal Spring Water! I have used this product since the first day I got it and I totally love it. It only takes 5 mins and my face looks amazing after using it.

2. The second product is the Eva NYC Therapy Session Hair Mask. I have not tried this one yet but I have heard a lot of good words about it. This was actually in its full size and it retails for $12.

3. The third product is the Pacifica Mineral Eyeshadow Duo. This duo is customized for the Ipsy subscribers so the only way to find the colors is buying the full palette on the Pacifica website. I am not really excited about this duo because the lighter color has a lot of glitter which comes off and falls on your face. Other than that, I think it is a good duo for everyday makeup.

4. The forth product is the Jersey Shore Sun® Sans Tan Anti-aging Sunscreen. This is an all natural product and it has SPF 30 (which is really cool). I have not tried this one either but I have heard good words about it too. This was a sample size - two of these retail for $25 and the full size for $40.

5. The last product is the Calvin Klein Endless Euphoria sample perfume. Already a huge fan of Calvin Klein's perfumes and really happy to receive it. Full size retails for $69.

Overall I loved this bag as much as my first one.
Thank you for reading my opinions and check out the video on YouTube for more talking :)

Have a nice weekend,
xoxo Marjana

Starved Rock State Park!

Hello guys!
This Saturday my hubby and I went hiking to this amazing, magical park in Utica, IL, Starved Rock State Park. We walked 7 miles for 4 hours (of course I was tired :P ). And oh...the stairs...they had no ending!!!

I used to go hiking a lot with my family when I lived in Albania, just because I enjoy the nature, fresh air and hiking. But there are not a lot of spots to do that in Chicago. We finally found one after some research and we left Saturday morning. The park is amazing. The canyons are breathless and the weather couldn't have been better. I am looking forward to go back again as soon as possible. Of course I took a lot of pictures and I created a short video too.

I hope you enjoy them ( I totally did)

Have a nice week,
xoxo Marjana.
