Urban Decay Vice3 palette - Swatches and review

Urban Decay is my all-time favorite brand. When I first got into makeup, a year ago, UD was the brand I always dreamed of. My first high-end makeup purchase was from their line, the Naked3 palette. I remember being so happy when I walked out from Sephora. Today I own some more products and I am 100% satisfied. They always surprise me and never disappoint me.

This past Christmas they launched their new Vice3 palette. OMG! The moment I saw it I could not think of anything else but it. Those colors were amazing, beautiful, vibrant and all I wanted. But, just when I was ready to buy it it was sold in every Sephora store :(

It's Ok, I found it a couple of weeks later on the UD's website and of course I purchased it. The company also included a bag full of goodies in sample size for me to try.

There were two small bags inside the box. One of them had the palette and the other one had all the extra products. These bags are so cute and perfect to be used as makeup bags when travelling.

The packaging is just beautiful. The case is slim with a bright neon abstract artwork and the name is written with jewels. I love the idea of a protective bag, this way I don't have to worry about the jewels coming off or the surface being scratched. A big plus.
There is also a huge mirror inside. It is the hugest compact mirror you can get with a palette and it makes applying makeup so much easier. An other big plus.

Now let's talk colors. This palette has 20 new never-seen-before limited edition shades. Uff...that was long! You get all sort of finishes - matte, sparkly, satin and metallic. Very pigmented and velvety texture. It is very easy to work with them, blending and mixing is so easy and fun. And the brush that comes with the palette is soft and perfect for the shadows.

The colors are coordinated in columns and it is so convenient. You get some neutral tones on the first column, bright jewel tones in the middle and dark smoky shades in the right. I love to pair them up vertically, but I also love to experiment and go wild with the colors all over the palette.

Urban decay vice3 review

As I mentioned above the first column has neutral tones. Truth is a pink-ish nude perfect to highlight the brow-bone and inner corners. Undone is the color I love to use as base all over my lid. Downfall creates a natural depth of the eye and DTF helps to give that last definition on the outer corner.
This is the perfect pair for an everyday makeup.

The second column has some bold metallic shades. Dragon is a vibrant green I love to use in the lower lash line to give a Pop to the whole look and bring out my eyes. I created a look with this quad using Freeze all over my lid ( a very bright metallic sky-color), Heroine on the outer corner to make it smokey and Brokedown right down the browbone as a transition shade. Pair it with a matte nude lip and voila...amazing look!

All the shadows of this column are metallic except Reign which has a satin finish. If you ask me about pairing the colors together for a look, I would start with Lucky as a base. A warm orange perfect for this time of the year. Then Reign to create a smokey effect of the outer corner. Vanity is a dark eggplant-y color which I would use in the lower lash line to create a contrast with my brown eyes and finally Bobby Dazzle to highlight.

Urban decay vice3 review

I like to call this "The romantic quad". The colors are so vibrant with hints of fuchsia, burgundy and orange. The shimmer makes them perfect for a "fire-sunset" look. I actually used this quad for my Valentine's Day makeup look...check it here for all the details :)

Urban decay vice3 review

The last column has all the shades you need to create a dramatic bold smokey eye. Starting with the champagne-y Last Sin as a highlight shade, Angel as a base and a mix of Defy and Revolver on the outer corner and lower lash line to create the darkest smoke ever. Drama just got better!

What I got inside the Stash Bag:

- Perversion Mascara
- 24/7 Glide-on Eyepencil in Rockstar
- Naked lipgloss in Rouge A Levres
- Four samples of Primer and Liquid Makeup

Overall I think this a palette worth the investment. You are able to create so many looks, from everyday fresh makeup to funky vibrant ones and dramatic bold smokey looks. You get all the colors you need to experiment with. It is the perfect mirror to take with you when travelling for short or long period of time. The quality is A+. As I said they are easy to work with, stay on for a long time, don't fall off and look amazing all the time.
All the other palettes I own have shadows with a mutual theme or similar tones. Vice3 Has all the colors you will ever Need! Hands down!
I am sorry you can't check it in a store but do you research online, read reviews and you will see it is worth the $60.

Do you own this palette? What do you think about it? And if not, would you purchase it? Let me know in the comments below :)

I hope you liked the review :)
Until next time,

Product Review - Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes

Hello Friends and Happy New Year!

Welcome bacl to my blog :) I wanted to star with an apology for my absence. I took two weeks off to enjoy the holidays with my hubby and friends. I was pretty much either working a part of the day or going out around the city all day. The house became literally a hotel. The only social media I updated were Facebook and Instagram. But now I am back. I have December Favorites post coming up as well as some moments from the holidays. I decided to start this year with a product review. One that I have been using non-stop since I got it in my mail. The Younique Moodstuck 3D Fiber Lashes Mascara.

This mascara is phenomenal. I featured it in my November Favorites but I want to talk more about it. It is a very unique product which comes with two mascaras; the Transplanting Gel and Natural Fibers- both with a different purpose.  The packaging is so cute and practical. Combining them together you can achieve big voluminous and magnified lashes. I am not the biggest fan of fake lashes and I don't  like using them often, but the difference they give the whole look is amazing. You can have the same gorgeous eyes by using the Moodstuck 3D Fiber Lashes.

Instructions of use:

Apply your regular mascara and wait until it dries.
Then apply the Transplanting Gel and while it is still wet apply the Fiber Lashes.
Reaplly the Gel to secure the fibers.
Comb your lashes carefully with a lash-comb.

1. Lashes with regular mascara
2. Left lashes with Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes
3. Complete look with Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes

My eyelashes look fabulous. It took me a couple of times to get used to the technique. At the beginning it seems kind of complicated and messy but once you learn how to use you will love it. The fibers stay on all day and you can wash them off with the rest of your makeup. You can also apply two layers over one-another, just make sure you comb your lashes so they don't look chunky and messy.

I also received the Moodstruck Precision Pencil for Eyes in black. It is the one I have used in this picture. The formula is perfect, it applies gently without pressure, doesn't smudge and it stays for very long. I am obsessed with this combo girls. I definitely recommend both of the products. You can find them at www.makeupmelanie.com They are totally worth it.
Thank you sweet Melanie for sending them to me :)

I hope you like the product my friends and I will see you soon on my next post,
Love Marjana

Ipsy Glam Bag - November 2014

Girl Meets Glitter

Ladies I am sooo excited for this month's theme. Mostly because it involves Glitter. Not only I love glitter but it also is the perfect time to wear it whenever and wherever with no excuse. The holidays are approaching and what better than glitter to make you glow and look fabulous ?
I also have some exciting news!!! My friend, Anxhela, subscribed to Ipsy and she is now receiving monthly bags. She gave me permission to share with you her bag, so I will have extra goodies to share with you :) Let's get started!

Here is a shot of both our bags:

My bag:

1. SeaRx Micro-Dermabrasion Face & Body Scrub - The tube is really small, enough products to be used only once. The scrub itself utilizes an advances crystal blends system which removes the dead skin and leaves it smooth after scrubbing. It also has a very pleasant scent close to "tangerines". I can't tell you if it's a good product but I can tell you that the reviews are really good. Find the full size products here for $32.00.

2. Be a Bombshell Cosmetics Eyebase -  in the shade Submissive. We both got this product and we are loving it. The color is beautiful, very natural and it has a soft texture which applies smoothly and looks amazing. You can also build up the product for a more intensive color. The light glitter in it and it's soft shine-s makes this eye base more perfect. You can purchase it here for $14.00

3. IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye - A full-coverage anti-aging waterproof concealer in the shade Neutral Medium. Again a very small tube with tiny bit of product but it works amazing. It has a full coverage and doesn't crack at all. the full size is available here for $24.00

4. Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil - it is a sulfate free hairspray which gives shine, volume and extra hold to your hair. I am pretty impressed with the ingredients of these hairspray - the keratin, the argan  and grape seed oil, really feed the hair and make it shine. It is a really good product and I really liked it when I first used it. It is available at Wallgreens for $8.29

5. Starlooks Lip Gloss- in the shade Guilty Pleasure. The formula is perfect: pigmented, shiny, not sticky and all and it lasts for a long time. As for the color - it is one of my favorites - so glamorous for the holidays yet natural and simple. I love it. Find the full size product here and get 20% off all cosmetic orders.

Those were all my products, now let's have a look on Anxhela's bag.

1. Starlooks Gem Eye Pencil - on shade Ultra Violet. I so love this pencil. The color itself is gorgeous and the glitter even more. It looks so beautiful and highlights her brown eyes. Definitely worth having it... and more colors are available here for $17.00

2. be Delectable from Cake Beauty Hand Cream - in the scent coconut and cream. It smells sooo good and cream is not greasy at all. I used it in my hands which felt very smooth afterwards and I loved it. I couldn't find a link where to purchase it so I am sorry :(

3. GlamGlow Powermud DualCleanse Treatment - GlamGlow has amazing products and I have heard good things about the powermud. I bet she is very happy for receiving it too. Find the full size here for 69.00 and let me know if you'd like a 30% off :)

4. J.Cat Beauty Wonder Lip paint - in the shade Mad Splatter. It is a pretty color for fall and winter. The product inside is very liquid-y but very pigmented and look beautiful on the lips. The only thing she noticed are the "marks" it leaves after a while. I guess that's why they call it a lip paint! I personally like it and I think it would go perfectly with a clear gloss on top. Purchase your here for $4.99

5. Same as my Be a Bombshell eyebase :)

As the tradition calls, here are our faces using Ipsy's products :)

I hope you liked it!

Xoxo, Marjana

Elizabeth Arden - Product Review

Good Night's Sleep Restoring Cream

Happy Saturday loves!

I have an other product review for you today. Last month I purchased a hydrating mask from the Elizabeth Arden line and I was very impressed with it. So I decided to go on a shopping trip down Arden's department and find out more.It has been a while since I have been haunting for a nice day/night cream. Fall and winter are not the best influence on my skin. It gets really dry! Like REALLY dry!

As soon as my eyes caught this cream, I knew it was for me. I wake up early in the morning and I do not have much time to apply full face makeup or wait for a cream to be absorbed and then apply foundation. This is why I include skincare in my evening routine. I clean, wash, nourish, treat my face and I apply this cream as the last step before I go to sleep.

The cream itself feels very soft when applied. Its texture is typical of the "creams" - not too thick, very lightweight. I use a small amount to cover all my face and it is enough. I can immediately feel moisturized and fresh. It has a very light flower-y scent - which is a plus for me: I can't stand heavy-scented face creams.
Now to the most important point - the restoring effect. I saw some difference on my skin since the first time I used it. The next morning my face was more nourished, moisturized, and glow-y. Today, after using it every night for almost a month and I can totally see a difference. My skin is softer and cleared from some dark spots.
It is an amazing cream my loves! I have also used it during the day and it works just fine. Definitely check it out if you are looking for an everyday cream. Find it here!

Thanks for reading me and have a nice weekend!

xoxo, Marjana

Ipsy Glam Bag - october 2014

Hello my dear Ladies!
It is the middle of the month and this means big-pink-envelope in my mail box! At first I thought the theme was going to be something related to breast cancer's month, but it turned out to be different.

Ipsy decided on "Beauty Candy" theme!

The bag looks just like a giant chocolate bar but in turquoise color. It is shine and the fabric looks pretty strong . So DAMN perfect!!! As for the goodies inside, well let's have a look.

1. City Color Be Matte Lipstick is the first product I spotted. I have been too much into lipsticks lately and I was so excited to try this. It is on the shade Cappuccino, a very pretty nude color. The website claims that this lipstick lasts for a long time, of course it is matte. So I wanted to test it and it turned out to be true. The color is rich, pigmented, stays on for a long time, super matte but... a little bit drying (in the contrary of what it claims) and it is smooth on the lips. Well it is OK, I can always put some balm underneath it. Go check the other colors here - they are AMAZING!
Full size $5.00

2. Doll 10 Beauty - H2Glo Highlighter - First time I hear about this brand ( and I like testing new brands). I also have to admit, I own NO highlighters. I just do not like them. But this one is really cute. I like the soft creamy formula, the light shimmer and color Champagne. It contains skin-boosting ingredients and natural pearl essence which are a big plus for me. I do like the faint and natural glow it gives to my face. I received the full size product which costs $30.00 and you can find it here!

3. ECRU New York Acacia Protein BB Cream Beauty Balm for Hair - LOVE IT! I already used and it is amazing! It works perfectly. My hair felt so smooth, silky, shinny, healthy... A beauty balm for hair? YES, please. Oh and it smells so good...It is the perfect product for hair and my favorite of the bag. Ecru is the best for hair products! The sample I got costs $12.00 and you can find it here

4. Figs & Rouge Hand Cream - I don't have a lot to say about a hand cream...I love the packaging. The design on the tube is sooo Cute. The cream itself feels soft, not oily and OMG! It smells so Yummy and delicious... I got the Mango Mandarin scent and I wanna taste it :P (not really) Although I do think it is a little bit expensive for just 20 ml - $6.56 Check it out here!

5. Skyn Iceland Mini Glacial Cleansing Cloths - mmmm they are OK! They have a fresh soapy scent. Great for travelling and quick cleansing. They do wipe the makeup really well and fast. But they are expensive $15.00 for just 30 wipes. If you are interesting you can find them here

That is all for this month's bag. Ipsy knows what to send me and I like them. Here is how the lipstick and highlighter look on my face :)
I hope you like it and have a wonderful weekend Loves!
xoxo Marjana

Product Review: Elizabeth Arden Hydrating Mask

I have heard so many good things about Elizabeth Arden's products that I finally decided to try one of them on my own. So, I purchased the Elizabeth Arden Hydrating Mask at Marshalls a couple of weeks ago. Let me start by saying two words: "amazing results".

The mask comes in a tube just like a toothpaste. It has a very thick-creamy consistency and applies very easily on my skin. I use it once or twice a week to give my skin some glow. I keep it on for about 15 mins and wash it off with a warm wet cloth. It does not dry on the face nor does it irritate it.

The moment I remove the mask I have this cooling and clean sensation which makes my skin breathe again. The pores are visibly minimized, softness is back and my face is glowing!
I am loving this mask and I will absolutely recommend it to anybody who has dry to normal skin for the perfect moisture. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!

See you soon,
xoxo Marjana

Product Review: Maybelline "The Nudes" palette

Two weeks ago i decided to try the new palette by Maybelline. Everyone is talking about "The Nudes" palette - it is all over social media and magazines so i thought I would give it a try because i like trying new products!
The palette has 12 nude shades; six matte and 6 shimmer. The package seems steady but it is plastic so it might brake and ruin the shadows if it accidentally falls.  :( I like the fact that it is relatively small (a little bit smaller than a Samsung S3) and it fits really good on a usual makeup bag. It also includes a double-sided brush.
The front side of the palette has a window where you can see all the colors from. At the back you find all the info and ingredients and ect. BUT you also find something which I think it is really cute, fun and also smart. So, Maybelline has separated the eyeshadows into three quads, four trios, and six duos. This is very helpful when you are not into the mood of creating and want something fast. You have 13 looks ready for you - no need to think about it. :)
As far as the quality of these shadows I would say it is pretty good but not the best. I experienced some fall-out - nothing too serious I cannot work with. The shadows feel really "soft" and not difficult to blend together. Two of the lightest colors don't show up on my skin because they are too similar to my color tone, but the other ones seem very pretty colors. I also think that the shimmer is beautiful and helps on boosting that natural glow instead of looking glitter-ish. Also the matte eyeshadows are not completely matte.
Overall. I think this palette is amazing for a go-to/everyday/back-to-school palette because not only has the basic nude and natural shades but it is also small, easy -to-carry in your bag and it costs only $12 ( a dollar a shade). Def an A for a drugstore-multi-use palette. :) Good job Maybelline!!

I got mine at Walgreens - go get your here!

And if you want to see how I use this little baby that I totally love, come back soon!

Lots of Love,
xoxo Marjana :)
