My beauty vanity!

I have always dreamed of a beauty corner since I was very young. I used to fantasize of my own vanity where I kept all my beauty supplies, a place I would escape when I didn't want to be in the real world. I tried to create this corner in every space possible in my bedrooms or bathrooms until last year, when I finally found this beautiful white vintage vanity. I had to get it. It was perfect.
Three mirrors, cute drawers and a stool. I sit there and I feel beautiful instantly. I know it sound silly and ridiculous, like a little girl...but I do feel like that.

I got the vanity as a birthday gift last year, but I finally decorated and organized it the way I want so I thought I might share it with you in case you are looking for ideas to decorate your own beauty vanity.

1. Flowers - No vanity can be completed without a pretty vase with flowers. I actually got the vase from Goodwill and the flower from JoAnn's. You can also use fresh flowers, I do it from time to time and it makes the magic more real! :)

2. Small mirror - It may seem like this vanity has plenty of mirrors, but I wanted to add this small one to help me with details. The big mirror is a little bit too far when it comes to checking on details while applying makeup. I got it from Marshall's and it has a magnifying mirror on the back.

3. Acrylic organizers - These are a must. They make everything look clean and in its own place. There are many designs out there, you can find them online on in store. I got this trio set from Home Goods and it fits perfectly with everything else. I use the biggest ones to store single eye shadows or sample size goodies, the rounded one for lip liners, eyeliners, mascaras and brow pencils. On the third one I keep foundations, primers, and the most used lipsticks.

Once they are full with products I place them in front of the mirror in the middle of the desk. The right corner has the flowers and the small mirror, and the left corner has a cute jewelry box. I bought the jewelry box at Goodwill's and painted it white myself. It fits perfectly with the color and vintage theme of the vanity.

4- Organize the way you like - I keep all my brushes in the middle drawer of the vanity. The other drawers are filled with the few makeup products I owned. The top left drawer has palettes, blushes and bronzers; the top right one has eye pencils, eyeliners, lashes, extra mascaras and other eye products. Bottom left one has sample products or new ones I need to try; and the bottom right drawer has lip related products.

5. Decor more - You can fill the picture with more color by adding little cute products. I have displayed my night cream, parfumes, a pink clutch, cute boxes ect. Here are a few shots to give you a fuller picture of the vanity.

I hope I was useful in some way. Let me know what you think and share your suggestions with me. Have a great week friends.

Love,
Marjana

Blue Spring Camping!

It is finally camping season and we are planning on making the most out of it. We started by going to Blue Springs near Orlando, FL. It was an amazing place and we had a great time. It was just the two of us, away from the noise, relaxing...
We arrived at the camping area around 3 p.m., set up the tent and headed to the park.

The park was just beautiful. I love nature, the green trees, blue skies and fresh air. It is calming for the soul and pleasure for the eyes.

I was expecting to see Manatees but there were none at this time. Anyways I found a very special one and I couldn't help but take a picture with it. We had matching outfits after all :P (kinda)

The next day we went kayaking at the river. The water was calm and clear like a mirror. We met a few couples who were very nice to share with us information about the nice gators hanging with us. YES! Alligators were actually swimming around us, normally, not even caring we were there!
Fun, huh?
Anyways, enjoy the pictures of this amazing nature :)

Thank you for visiting friends. I hope you liked the pics and visit Blue Spring when you get a chance!
I will see you soon,
Love, Marjana :)

Urban Decay Vice3 palette - Swatches and review

Urban Decay is my all-time favorite brand. When I first got into makeup, a year ago, UD was the brand I always dreamed of. My first high-end makeup purchase was from their line, the Naked3 palette. I remember being so happy when I walked out from Sephora. Today I own some more products and I am 100% satisfied. They always surprise me and never disappoint me.

This past Christmas they launched their new Vice3 palette. OMG! The moment I saw it I could not think of anything else but it. Those colors were amazing, beautiful, vibrant and all I wanted. But, just when I was ready to buy it it was sold in every Sephora store :(

It's Ok, I found it a couple of weeks later on the UD's website and of course I purchased it. The company also included a bag full of goodies in sample size for me to try.

There were two small bags inside the box. One of them had the palette and the other one had all the extra products. These bags are so cute and perfect to be used as makeup bags when travelling.

The packaging is just beautiful. The case is slim with a bright neon abstract artwork and the name is written with jewels. I love the idea of a protective bag, this way I don't have to worry about the jewels coming off or the surface being scratched. A big plus.
There is also a huge mirror inside. It is the hugest compact mirror you can get with a palette and it makes applying makeup so much easier. An other big plus.

Now let's talk colors. This palette has 20 new never-seen-before limited edition shades. Uff...that was long! You get all sort of finishes - matte, sparkly, satin and metallic. Very pigmented and velvety texture. It is very easy to work with them, blending and mixing is so easy and fun. And the brush that comes with the palette is soft and perfect for the shadows.

The colors are coordinated in columns and it is so convenient. You get some neutral tones on the first column, bright jewel tones in the middle and dark smoky shades in the right. I love to pair them up vertically, but I also love to experiment and go wild with the colors all over the palette.

As I mentioned above the first column has neutral tones. Truth is a pink-ish nude perfect to highlight the brow-bone and inner corners. Undone is the color I love to use as base all over my lid. Downfall creates a natural depth of the eye and DTF helps to give that last definition on the outer corner.
This is the perfect pair for an everyday makeup.

The second column has some bold metallic shades. Dragon is a vibrant green I love to use in the lower lash line to give a Pop to the whole look and bring out my eyes. I created a look with this quad using Freeze all over my lid ( a very bright metallic sky-color), Heroine on the outer corner to make it smokey and Brokedown right down the browbone as a transition shade. Pair it with a matte nude lip and voila...amazing look!

All the shadows of this column are metallic except Reign which has a satin finish. If you ask me about pairing the colors together for a look, I would start with Lucky as a base. A warm orange perfect for this time of the year. Then Reign to create a smokey effect of the outer corner. Vanity is a dark eggplant-y color which I would use in the lower lash line to create a contrast with my brown eyes and finally Bobby Dazzle to highlight.

I like to call this "The romantic quad". The colors are so vibrant with hints of fuchsia, burgundy and orange. The shimmer makes them perfect for a "fire-sunset" look. I actually used this quad for my Valentine's Day makeup look...check it here for all the details :)

The last column has all the shades you need to create a dramatic bold smokey eye. Starting with the champagne-y Last Sin as a highlight shade, Angel as a base and a mix of Defy and Revolver on the outer corner and lower lash line to create the darkest smoke ever. Drama just got better!

What I got inside the Stash Bag:

- 24/7 Glide-on Eyepencil in Rockstar
- Naked lipgloss in Rouge A Levres
- Four samples of Primer and Liquid Makeup

Overall I think this a palette worth the investment. You are able to create so many looks, from everyday fresh makeup to funky vibrant ones and dramatic bold smokey looks. You get all the colors you need to experiment with. It is the perfect mirror to take with you when travelling for short or long period of time. The quality is A+. As I said they are easy to work with, stay on for a long time, don't fall off and look amazing all the time.
All the other palettes I own have shadows with a mutual theme or similar tones. Vice3 Has all the colors you will ever Need! Hands down!
I am sorry you can't check it in a store but do you research online, read reviews and you will see it is worth the $60.

Do you own this palette? What do you think about it? And if not, would you purchase it? Let me know in the comments below :)

I hope you liked the review :)
Until next time,
xoxo Marjana

February Favorites!

Ok I have to say this...this year is going so fast! What? Sir, you need to slow down! But deep down I want the months to go quickly, I can't wait for summer to be here...wishing...
Anyways, welcome back my loves! March has always been busy for me, planning birthday parties, anniversary dinners and killing my mind deciding for those perfect gifts. But I love doing these things, they fill me up with joy and life! I hope everything goes perfectly this year too :)
And... let's have a look on what February made me love.

Hair care

I like to change my shampoo every time I need a new one. This time I reached for the Pantene Damage Detox. It is a really good shampoo; I feel my hair getting better wash after wash and I am definitely repurchasing it. My hair need some really good treatment and I am getting to it, starting from a haircut in the next weeks. But before that, I wanted to change the color of it. A friend of mine recommended me the Vidal Sassoon hair dye products, and I decided to go with my favorite color of all time - purple. This is actually a deep violet (3VR London Luxe) the color looks darker near the roots and changes to a beautiful violet towards the end. Love it!

Make-up

The Urban Decay Vice 3 palette is the newest gem of my collection. I fell in love with it since the first time I saw it during the holidays' season. It is such a beautiful piece of art that any girl should have it. The colors are amazing and I am obsessed with more than half of them. They are so easy to combine with each other and create stunning looks for every occasion. I don't want to go into much detail since I am preparing a separate post about it, but I can only tell you that I am totally and completely in love with it and I have been using it almost every day.

The next product is a lip liner from Milani. A dark brownish nude that I have been wanting for a while. I love how easy  it is to apply and how smooth it feels. Sometimes I use it to just line my lips and other times I apply it all over my lips to create a matte look when I don't feel like wearing lipstick or gloss. Absolutely adorable!

Clothes and Fashion accessories

I started Yoga at the beginning of February and I went shopping for "supplies". I bought the cutest sports bra from Victoria's Secrets. Honestly...the most comfortable thing I have ever worn. Support and FUN. I would wear it every day if I could :P
I also bought a pair of leggings to match the pink of the sports bra and a bright blue yoga mat. Yoga has been amazing - stretching, breathing deeply, thinking clear. I was scared the first day I attended a class but now I love it! So much fun!

Random

The book of the month is by Jackie Collins "Confessions of a Wild Child". She describes the years of a multimillionaire's teenage daughter. A wild girl who doesn't like to obey her father and ends up to boarding schools. Intense book, events happening one after another, dilemmas, broken hearts, short love stories. A pretty good book I admit.

I love candles in the evening, especially when I am reading. My two favorite this month are the "Lavender Spring & Mint from Kitchen Clean and "Summer breeze" from Village Candle. I use the first one in the kitchen after cooking to clear up all the food scents and the second candle in my room and office. I actually have it burning now and it literally feels like being at the beach.

My favorite show: Reign

My favorite songs:

Iggy Azalea - Trouble ft. Jennifer Hudson
Zedd - I Want You To Know ft.Selena Gomez
Tove Lo - Talking Body

What do you think about this month's products? Do you have a favorite item that want to share with me? I would love to hear about it in the comments below!
Have a wonderful Sunday,
xoxo Marjana
