A Greek touch!

I LOVE Greece! It is my birthplace, and I have so may beautiful memories I will never forget.

I used to visit Greece, especially Thessaloniki, every 6 months or so, and now it has been more than a year and a half since my last one. It makes me really excited when I see a greek store, restaurant, or even when I hear people speaking greek. This weekend I spent sometime at one of the most famous greek places in Greektown.
It sounds weird but I felt so good only by looking at those traditional cakes, sweets, drinks and other goods. They brought back many memories, and I loved it.

Enjoy the pictures,

7 things to do when you are bored!

January is usually considered as the "dead" month. Why? Because there is nothing interesting to do. Holidays are over, Valentine's Day is far away, it's cold, and simply boring. Nobody likes being under weather, in a bad mood and boring. So what can we do to make ourselves feel better? There are actually a ton of things you can do. Here is my top 7 (and if you wonder why I chose 7, it's because 7 is my lucky number :P)

1. Go on the internet

I am not saying go on the net and check Facebook, or everything like that. You probably do that every 15 min on your phone. My point is go check something new. Type a keyword on Google and visit different websites you have never seen before. I personally like visiting different fashion, DIY or traveling blogs. A great option is the app Pinterest. You will be surprised of all the things on this app. Or you can just play free games online, wihich is pretty random.

2. Go outside

Staying home for a long time, looking at the same furniture and other stuff is usually boring. The best thing you can do is go outside, either for a walk or a ride with your car. Be sure to take your camera with you if you go for a walk. Sometimes, when you are bored, you see the world with a different eye. And if you go for a ride with your car, be sure to tune in your favorite radio station and sing all the songs out loud (even if you don't know the lyrics)

3. Watch Tv

You can either catch-up with your favorite show on Netflix or play your all time favorite movies. Grab a box of pop-corns and make yourself comfortable on your sofa, or bed.

4. Socialize

Yes, I am talking about Facebook or Twitter or any other social media. But don't just like pictures or write comments, send messages to your old friend. When was the last time you talked to a friend you don't see that often? Talk to them, ask them how have they been, talk about the most random things that come across your mind. Grab that phone and call them, if you can. They will be so glad you did so.

5. Dance

Play the Vevo's top 50 songs on YouTube, or any other music you want and just dance. Let your body feel the music and dance like you have never danced before. Think you are the best professional dancer of the world and just....just dance.

6. Get into writing or drawing

Grab a notebook and start writing about anything you want. Close your eyes and think why do you feel bored. You don't have to follow any grammar rules, write in whatever language you want, you can even mix them. Look around you and write about it, make your New Year's resolutions, goal, wishes. You don't like writing? Then draw something that inspires you, a new tattoo, flowers, lines, whatever you want.

7. Take a long bath and be bored

You can do all the things I mentioned and still be bored. There is nothing wrong with it. There are times in our lives when we need to feel bored, it is just the way it is. My advice is to take a long bath. Let your body relax, close your eyes and just sit in silence. Take your time and do all your face/body/skincare routines.

These are my top 7 things to do when you are bored. I hope they are helpful for you. Let me know what you do when you are bored.

Remember: Life is short. Do something to make yourself feel as much happy as you can.

Winter 2014! Black and White Edition...

Hello everyone! I just wanted to stop by and say a quick hello. I am sorry I have not been posting a lot but I haven't done anything interesting except from staying home and going to work because it is freezing outside.
Last weekend it snowed for almost three days non-stop and now the temperatures are hitting records below zero.
At this point I just wanted to share with you some photos I took the other day. They are not the best quality because I used my Galaxy S3' s camera but I still like them.

I hope you enjoy too,
Love M

My December Favorites!

Hi guys! Since it's the first day of 2014 I decided to start a new monthly-kind of article based on my monthly favorites. I have watched a lot of YouTube-rs posting videos about it, so I thought it would be a nice idea posting it on my blog, (since I'm not a very good YouTube-r :)

This article basically includes make-up products, face and body wash/ cream products, clothes and accessories and many other random things that I have been loving through the whole month. Let's get started..........

Face and Body Wash/ Cream Products

1. I have been loving this Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. It is nothing but a foaming scrub which clears breakouts, blemishes and blackheads, it has vitamin C and pink grapefruit that makes it smell wonderful. I apply this once or twice a day on wet face, massage it gently and then rinse thoroughly. After that my skin is so soft and refreshed. You will love it, believe me.

2. Next, I have been loving a Victoria Secrets' product. It is the 2-in-1 body wash and scrub with frozen apples and sparkling cassis. This body wash is really refreshing and relaxing and it smells so good.

3. The third product is the Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Creme from Garnier.  I don't have much to say about this, it's name says it all. I wasn't very sure about it because it's a gel-cream, but now I am literally loving it. You can feel your skin refresh the moment you apply the gel. I really believe this is a very good product and I have been using it every single day since I bought it. I definitely recommend it.

Make-up products

As make-up products I have been loving a correcting primer and a powder.

1. My most favorite primer of December has been the Anti-Red Correcting Primer by Victoria Secret. I don't use it everyday, only when I go out and need a very good "make-up-ed" face. It might seem ridiculous how a green cream can fade the redness in your skin, but it is true and this product does its job very well.

2. I found out about this product when watching different videos on YouTube and I really wanted to try it. So I bought it and I have been loving it since. My skin is a little bit oily and I like to use a powder to set the foundation and have a more mat-look, that is why i chose the Milani Face Powder. You can buy it in any drugstore and it is not too pricey.

Clothes and fashion accesories

I hate the cold, I don't like it at all. I really want to be warm and not feel single-digit temperatures.

1. My favorite accessory for the month of December has been this beautiful reddish- burgundy-ish scarf which has a gold-pin skull.  I bought this last year in Albania. It goes with almost all my clothes and it is my go-to winter scarf.

2. I actually bought this bag not too long ago at Ross for a really good price. I had been looking for a small bag for a couple of months and the moment I saw it I knew I had to have it. So here it is...

 3. My most wore shoes. My Bearpaws. I am literally in love with them.  They have been through rain and snow and they have managed to keep my feet warm and comfortable. I LOVE them. They are perfect if you don't want to spend too much money on a pair of UGGs or buy something cheap which will not last long. I absolutely recommend them.

Random Stuff

I have actually had only one favorite on this category. It is the Pumpkin Spice Candle. I have been burning it almost every day and my house smells so good right after lightening it up.

I hope you guys enjoyed it. Thanks for reading my Blog. Have a Happy New Year.
Love you all Marjana

Christmas Eve!

This Christmas Eve had nothing to do with the past ones. It was kind of lonely, not friends or family but I had a really nice evening. Here in U.S.A you have to be 21 years old to go into a club and have a drink, it is a must- they'll check your ID. So I didn't have many choices, all the stores and restaurants were closed, and the only idea I came up with was...Let's go for a walk Downtown Chicago. And it was a very nice idea actually. We visited the "big" tree and a German Christmas Fair....(more on the photos down below)

Santa's House

Ornaments from a Christmas Shop- German Fair

Candles- always lovely

The "Big Christmas Tree"

I know I look very funny, but it was freaking freezing outside and those ones kept me sooooo warm. I love them. (btw they're from Aeropostale)

That's pretty much my Christmas Eve activity. I hope you all had a fantastic night and I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Holly Jolly Day full of love and presents ;) . May all your wishes come true!
Love Marjana
